I used to play it on a 38" ultrawide (3840x1600) and recently upgraded to 42" screen (3840x2160).

Battlefield Games are all the same story: desaster at launch, getting better, getting content, getting great.
Battlefield V had also the potential - but just when it began getting great, they pulled the plug. It got adequate uniforms, awesome maps and some things were reworked for the better: old maps changed the timeline (twisted steel was suddenly germans vs americans), Iwo Jima was literally Utah Beach and Hill 400 in one and Al Marj even had tame Swastika-Flags. Battlefield V would have been awesome when they wouldn't have suddenly quit development in favor of 2042. The approximately 20 maps aren't the greatest showcase, wouldn't have been such a problem in a modern scenario. But it was WW2 and compared to the over 30 maps of Battlefield 1 it was a joke.
Battlefield 2042 is now in a state of launch game. It gets not 1, but 5 new maps. For the main Mode, that is - All out Warfare. Dice can now play it clever: Make a Season-Pass for further monetasation (BFV never had this) - most people who pre-ordered it will return. Revamping more maps from BFBC2, BF3 and even BF4 is not that great of a deal than building some from the ground up. Changing the old ones and building some new ones (Dice can make content real quick, when they want - Firestorm's map is ten times Hamada). Making the game more gritty and serious with the Specialistd (Compare BFVs Definitive-Edition-Menu-Screen with that of Launch). If they want, they can make extraordinary things with BF 2042. It won't be as great as if the launch wouldn't have been such a desaster, but it will be a good game. Maybe then there will be new Youtube-Videos like "Battlefield 2042 - Now it's great (3 years later)"

Me too while I was still playing, and will probably play infantry-only again when I'm back. Just wish it wasn't only CQ-64 through portal...but it's the best DICE can do /shrugs

even in an AA for some reason jets need to be alot closer than helicopters to lock on

i hope so they did cuz last time i used a tank was so boring cuz the only thing that can kill infantry is antivehicle rounds while your 50. turret does is tingles

that's really the main issues, mobility wise jets are more than fine, just that the cool down for flares is way too short and the distance they need to be in order to lock on to them is way too short

like i get it a little bird is a infantry machine but gettin explosive rounds so you dont even need to aim to get kills is stupid

i don't wanna lock on to them from across the map but having it be a bit further would help tremondelously

A bit. But it's pretty terribly balanced and frustrating overall, or at least was in my experience. Best matches were always the matches where both teams air were somewhat evenly matched so that air remained a threat but wasn't just wiping the floor with infantry/ground vehicles the whole time.

in a perfect balanced vehicle warfare the role would be anti armour but since theres no tv missile or tow missile its boring (i dont remember if tow is in the game)

i think that's also an issue, no missles that you can maually control

EXACTLY this. When they moved the nightbird to the attack section they never made any actual changes to its weapons beforehand

things that actual have like some skill involved also the lack of cover for lock ons is a serious problem
