I don't necessarily feel that way. A resupply-based support is still serving that team role whether they hold a LMG or an SMG. It really comes down to if you think class team roles should also define your weapon, and if weapon combat is part of the class. Personally, I'm pretty agnostic to either way. The gadgets and team roles are more important to me
