Been so many 'BF killers' over the years that have been quickly forgotten. DICE left a 5 year gap between BF4 and 2042 for other studios to make a bf-like modern shooter.

• the F-35's VTOL mode randomly engages one third of the time when I press the flares key
• the Wildcat is OPAF, you fly on the opposite side of the map, the AA cannon will shred you no matter what
• having to drop 4 ground missiles (minimum) to finally kill an armor unit is way too weak because people actually do use the smoke cover
• somehow helos on some maps are powerful enough to wreck fighters (that or some cannon pod users had some sort of aim assist)
• there is an enemy attack aircraft airborne and a wildcat on the ground, you can't carry the right ammo types to go after both of them, it's one or the other, just like real life (/s)
• unless the pilot is actually brain dead, you simply cannot kill the nightbird
• the 25mm cannon does literally nothing against troop transport helos
• after firing a missile after an airborne enemy, by the time you do the quickest loop around, somehow their flares will already be back up and running
