I get it to a point, open loadouts allow for more solo-focused play by default. And I like open loadouts! I really do think they're good! But combined with specialist abilities it just turned everyone into wanting to be that one-man-army, especially given the lack of rewards for proper teamwork a la the BFV point system.

I mean, remember those little dopamine hits seeing your score rack up as you get killstreaks or revive a bunch of squadmates? That was the shit, man. I miss that.

i don't hate the gameplay of 2042, it's just an obvious devolution of what the series already had. so many core features or new mechanics that fixed longstanding issues are gone. it's like they scrapped everything from what htey learned from hardline, bf1 and bfv and went back to bf4 and started creating a game based on that. it feels like a 2013 game.

In theory, sure. In practice, not really. Sundance as the flanker to place spawn beacons? Awesome!...but it almost never happens. AWESOME!...but it doesn't really happen. etc. etc.

Which, given that we know it'll take DICE 5 months to "fix" two maps, sure makes them trying to fix the maps for XSX a tall order. Which is super lame, but this is DICE Quality (TM)

But if the producer decides the bug will take too long to fix/isn't critical enough to delay an update, they ship the update with that bug in place.

I didn’t play 128 BT consistently. I would play it on occasion as I prefer conquest. But I really had fun playing 128BT. It actually made me kinda like BT as a mode. Which I didn’t really care for in BFV

even 128 was dwindling when i would play it for weekly objectives. it was so bad people stopped playing it

So there are about 7000 players with 300 hours in the game, a little more since you wont show up on those unofficial leaderboards if stat sharing is off

7000 players with 300 hours played is a lot more than the 2000 player count you hear all the time
