jets are very good anti ground once you get the AGMs (which can be unlocked in the co-op bot mode if you play conquest)

you don’t even sacrifice AA as long as someone has a soflam, i think it’s actually more damage just reliant on someone else designating targets

25 is generally the better option but 30mm is actually surprisingly good vs ground vehicles, kinda melts light transports and you can put some decent damage in on armour as well

bit finnicky though because it’s not accurate so you can’t really deliver a ton of damage until you’re pretty close at the end of a strafe

yeah i believe it does more damage per shot but you’ve got less time to deal damage since again inaccurate and it overheats pretty quickly

the 25mms are pretty effective against helis as they are tbh, just need to get the hang of aim + leading and tbh just spotting the helis from a distance to get a good pass on them

you do typically need at least two passes if they’re not just hovering stationary against a high contrast background or already taking fire/damaged

i’m sure there are far more qualified people to give strategic advice but what i’ve found is coming in from below them can help to spot them as long as they’re at a decent altitude, doesn’t really work when they’re hovering 15m off the ground lol

although ideally you’re just able to dump some guided missiles into them and get the kill lol

ideal strat for that is lock + fire a missile and fly away, either it hits them or they pop flares putting them on cooldown for your second pass which if you time it right you should have replenished the rocket

matchmaking is based on skill, so if the game determines you're doing "good", you'll be put into games with other "good" players

people usually dislike it, and for good reason

it has no place in casual playlists. All it does is punish players for not being at their peak throughout the entire game session

Not sure if it's skill based but matchmaking itself is terrible for any game. Especially when combined with non persistent servers like 2042. There's just countless times that I've had to quit and rematchmake cuz the game ended at the moment I joined. Throw in lack of region selection and you have a recipe for killing the playerbase. The same thing happened with Halo Infinite as well. This is why every multiplayer fps needs a server browser, that's the thing that keeps the community alive for years. No idea why modern shooters gravitate towards matchmaking instead 🤦🏻‍♀️

I've been using the Warhawk compensator with the LWG light grip. Irons and Close combat/standard extended.

Tried the same on the PBX and same result.

Usually the updates have been on Thursdays and there are only two left in this month, this weeks and next weeks, and next week is a holiday in Sweden so i doubt Dice is working on that day.

I'm thinking about maps like Grand Bazaar or Pearl Market where there are vehicles but they are so funneled to specific routes that most infantry couldn't care less about their existence

2042 needs more actual infantry maps and areas even on vehicle maps. Manifest is literally the only one and really only the ships themselves count as such

I wish they would introduceRush Chaos more often in the PORTAL rotation. That mode was absolutely legendary. Extremely fast paced 32v32 Rush. I ended up with 80-100 kills every game.

I think it all has to do with coming out at the right time. It introduced destruction to the series. It was very sandboxey. Very simple. It was the first REAL attempt at a BF console experience.

Plus the maps were cool, the gun sounds were insane. And the story had 4 weird but likeable characters.

I think what people so fondly love about BC1/2 is just a solid game with clear direction and focus. Not trying to be something it’s not. It took its limited systems, made them really good. And just sold it.
