I've been wondering, why are we stuck with the previous drivers loadout and customization when we take an abandoned vehicle/switch seats? Like what's even the point of choosing the different options when you can only use them if you spawn in the vehicle first? Its an awful experience for those who bought the game for the AI. Like AOW's Solo/Co-op. Day 1, it had full progression. As of now its 100 XP per minute, no ribbons, no weeklies, no unlocks (attachments are super buggy to unlock) and not even a first match of the day bonus gives you a level up. And its been like this for 7 months despite feedback on the forums asking and proposing for ways to make it reasonable.

All feedback falls on deaf ears.

One of them have TM, the other not, you can check it in registry here: windows button -> search for registry -> navigate to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall and search the entries for BF2042, there must be two GUIDs, one with the TM, the other without.
Maybe you must search under Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

Maps are pretty good in infantry conquest. They should add the cover and bases here to the main mode.

They're sorta doing that with a few maps, but it's hard since they need to reduce complexity elsewhere in the map to allow for them to add more objects/geometry. Maps seem at their "budget cap" with 128 players, essentially. But it'll take 4 months for them to do that to two maps, so not happening anytime soon. Best hope is that any new maps that release are considerable improvements over the 7 we have.

For an FPS, yes. Legit there has not been another FPS I've played that was so designed around core mechanics (movement and mechs) using incredible map design (the entire factory mission is sex) and set-piece after set-piece (FIGHTING ON FLYING SHIPS AND SHIT, YO) while presenting a competent story and making a giant, emotionless robot empathetic. (though yes, Doom 2016 is excellent as well!)

Well not exactly but the system is much more fleshed out. Like when you get camos done you don’t have to set them as your challenges or anything. You can do as many as you want in a match. I also wish there was some sort of reward for how many you got done (idk what, but it could be something) just random ideas that are just minor improvements but really provide nothing but reward to grinders

But I mean grinding camos in cod will always feel more natural than grinding guns in BF because cod did it first

Fundamental problems remain. It's much less buggy and they've made a ton of minor improvements. It's absolutely better, but whether it's "good" or not yet is more subjective. But it's a notable improvement over what that game was a few weeks after launch.

Maps are mostly the same. There are some improvements to some (Manifest now has a new zipline between the two ships, I believe), but the "big improvements" are coming by the end of S1 to Kaleidoscope and Renewal. There's a blog post showing off some of the changes planned in the forums.

So, they'll add some maps and patch it and be done, while the main focus is on the next title. Initially yes, but it's become EA's in-house "Everything Engine" that they use across almost every game they make. It's not mandatory, but all their studios use it from sports to RPG's to racing games to shooters. BW is sticking with it for DA4 but is using Unreal for ME4

Frostbite is notorious, period. I used to code on main frames, then mid ranges and all that code was useful, until the world moved on. I get the investment made into the engine and reluctance to do over and all the costs/pain associated with that, but at some point they'll have to and probably not for the reason we think.

My opinion that there aren't benefits over other engines given that we have reporting that working with it is a nightmare and that, from the consumer-side of things, I see nothing particularly notable or impressive about the engine compared to others on the market? In comparison to the days when it was Frostbite 3 for example, when it was one of the premier engines for visual fidelity and EA were "pioneering" (quotes because I'm not sure if they actually were, or were just the biggest) the use of photogrammetry for photorealistic textures etc. plus DICE selling the fairly impressive physics/destruction capabilities of the engine at that time in comparison to other engines.
