Like it or not people would complain that the game was getting pushed (its a lose lose situation, you push the game people complain, you release it broken people complain). They would get bad press and investors would complain, truth is ea put a lot of resources into 2042. Killed existing games and shifted devs from others games to this one. They had to release the game to make money in Q4. And they did. They turned a profit. They made the braindead investors happy and life went on. Players complained but players ways complain with EA.

The decision happened shortly before i joined the team so take what i say with a grain of salt, however it wasnt a very complicated decision i believe. Textron's offering had lots of technical quirks and General Dynamics... well its a bullpup design... no way a bunch of boomers picked that as an M4 replacement.

the MCX was easy to choose because its literally a spicy M4. Its modern for sure, but the ergonomics and usability of it are very similar to the M4 so it plays on the safety of the familiar. Plus the other 2 offerings used polymer cased ammo, where the MCX uses regular brass-casing, so another point for "stick to what works" instead of experimenting with unproven stuff.

most hacks that people want are based on assisted inputs that aren't going to get flagged, it's more common place for the consumption of client information sent to the server to be verified as valid moves to stop things like flying around. I would assume the developers know who's cheating right now, and it's probably them, or of them, those, individuals, who let those whom ruin the game experience individuals, cheat in the first place.

for discarded and renewal, I cant say i hate either or love either more than the other, but I've just not always felt fun on discarded, even though i enjoy the map, and renewal i enjoy, its a fun place to be an infantry on, and sometimes vehicles if i ever get them

for kale, I don't really dislike it, and honestly, I do like it, it's just that some areas are 100% attacker-focused, and it's hard on defense. and then hourglass for the reasons of being open in the middle, although again as I already said, I think it has potential and isn't terrible

in 4 server browser = custom games
aow = official servers for matchmake
in 4 when you want to join matchmaking you join official servers, the only "browser" that exists for that is selecting what gamemode (aka conquest, rush, etc...)
but when you click play it finds a game for you, exactly how aow does...

Yo has anyone else experienced this? So I’m playing on the series x right and I updated the game to give it a try and see how it is after the update but for some reason after the update I can’t even play the game correctly like when I load into a match I can’t switch guns in the spawn screen or anything all my options like the loadout, primary, secondary, etc are blank and when I try to manually add a weapon on nothing happens so literally the only thing I can switch is the specialists and everything else is fucked it’s so stupid damm thing worked before the update and now it doesn’t not to mention I’ve already uninstalled and reinstalled twice to see if it’ll work then and still nothing
