Nah my k/d ratio is more like 10+/6 with normally 5-8 assist. 2042's TTK is just too high especially considering that most weapons clip sizes are fairly small 20-30 (unless you use extended ones) and the other factors that the damage is lesser on the bigger clips.

Oh like 1 bullet depending on where you hit them (heart shot/headshot is a 1 hit) legs/arms are 3-4 chest like 1-2 and the roles in the game actually matter 100%. If the TTK was adjusted to be way more realistic it would change the whole flow of the game and become more tactical, also the vehicle health regeneration needs to go. Shooting any air vehicles with ANY weapons should cause damage, and the disabled parts should have more effect (take out main rotor and the helicopter falls out of the sky) imo.

Pick it up the only real difference atm between PC and xbox S/X&ps5 I that the dismemberment and blood effects aren't working as they should.

As for the 64vs64 making the TTK very short would cause slowdown and more teamplay as it could always go either way in a firefight, insurgency sandstorm is alot slower but so satisfying once you get used to the flow.

Not 100% on air (the commander can call for air support) vehicles you can control, but some ground vehicles are available (to find) in the maps. The maps are fairly small and I do hope they come out with lager ones in the future with more vehicle support aswell.

If you have a pc capable of arma3 go for that (understanding it's as real as can possibly be) if you want a simulator. Insurgency is more realistic then most games but keeps a bit of arcade feel somehow. It is way slower then 2042 in the sense of movement, also there is weapon sway and it will effect your abilities. If you are really great at 2042/cod you might suck for a good minute until you learn sandstorm

ok but the reality is 700 people are not 100% of the people working on developmental updates.

there are people that advise, people that do design, people that do voice stuff, map design, etc
a very small portion (what i believe is no more than 20-30 people) actually work on the developmental aspects, and those changes have to be approved by a supervisor of technical design.

The very possible reason the scoreboard took so long is that the technical design team wanted a specific vision out of the developmental team, so they had to design those assets, and then once everything was approved, then the development team needs to then create stuff.

and that's just for the scoreboard, plus, not to mention the countless revisions the technical design team might want to make (which was what happened in the case of the scoreboard) which then delays the development process because then they have to get it approved... repeat, repeat

tl;dr the guy in the referenced image doesnt understand the technical design flow that is required for each detail of the game... EA/DICE/RIPPLE/etc. is a company, and its more complicated than "developer go brrt"f

Also, there is literally no possible way you can spin this story in support of DICE. 6 months for a scoreboard and some other lackluster updates is pitiful no matter the size of the team. It would have been less embarrassing if they acknowledge that there's only 15 people working on 2042 and the rest of the dev team had moved on.

also, the other DICE employee (from referenced photo) said that basically everyone is working on the game. And, if you read, as I explained, that does not mean 700 people are developing updates, it is more likely that (as you said) closer to 15 are. Again, this doesnt mean there are 15 people total working on 2042, it just means there is probably around 15-30 people working on development updates, the rest are probably scattered to jobs as i mentioned above (visual designer, technical design, etc).

How exactly? From what I remember of my experience in Battlefield 4, rocket launchers were limited to engineers, which were too busy managing their own vehicles or whatever the hell they were doing jerking off in the corner to even think about pulling a rocket launcher on the front lines where everyone is dying to the enemy armor. If I wanted to have a chance at fighting back against a vehicle, I had to change class from medic, and now there's one less medic on the team of which there was probably three.
