So it was basically putting the game on a new engine. This alone took 18 months" Why didn't they take 5 years. Why didn't they really make sure it was the right thing to do. Because they didn't care is why, now that the player base has dropped and many people have complained. They are talking about doing changes (three months later) as the months go by. Why didn't they have high expectations in the first place. You have people that have been playing Battlefield for 20 years, do you not think they would love to see what modern technology could do. They launched in in a poor state. It came out 3 years after Battlefield 5. I just don't understand why so many companies, like Battlefield and COD push out a new games every 2-3 years. Why not take longer and make sure the game is absolutely finished.

Another try is to delete the PROFSAVE_profile file and when you start the game it will recreate it automatically (but all your settings will be reset to default)

they have a set amount of time, and they realized with what they wanted to do, they needed to remake the engine, that had no affect on the content of the game directly, but it lowered the amount of time that they were able to develop for the game because they do not control how long they take because ea above them is a business.

2-3 years is unrealistic for a game to be developed on this level. mainly with the amount of stuff required for this game. if they didn’t have to do that then it wouldn’t take as long, but it would have probably been even worse if crunched…

I can recognize when im wrong. I know not everything is perfect. Most games these days, when they launch, there are a lot of bugs. They require updates to fix certain things. But we are talking about Battlefield here, where they have 20 years of experience of making great titles. You dont think they should have known better than to launch the game with how it was. You can blame the engine, you can blame covid. If those two are the two biggest reasons why its in the state, why release it. If they can fix it, that is great for them. If many people come back, that is great for them. That is progress. But that just means, that they can do the same thing for the next Battlefield and take everyone's money and then take a year fixing everything. The game is filled with bots right now, that should mean something. Im not a small % that is giving my thoughts. The game has almost 100k reviews on steam, that are mostly negative. I played for the first time last night on a 1080 ti and had a blast.

3080 is overdoing it, i have a 3070 and it never gets above 30% usage, a 1660ti is cheaper and more than enough, unless you have other plans for the gpu
also, cpu probably should get more attention, this game isnt graphic heavy, its memory/processing heavy

2042 goes the same way, Mil-Sims can actually be more fun in Portal because the team actually works together, unlike the regular game where people wanna behave like Rambo the entire match

The only pro that the MAV has over the EBAA and the tanks is that it can hold more people in it. It can become a great infantry killer if people support, but only if other players decide to pitch in. A good reason why people pick the EBAA and the Tank over the MAV is because you don't have to rely on others as much. Look at the Landship from BF1, the driver doesn't really get a main gun just like the MAV, it relies on passengers for the main guns, so you see less of that and more of A7Vs

MAV also moves way too slow, I haven't compared it but it sure feels like the T20 can just catch up to it and blow it up. I don't need a comparison either to see if the EBAA can just slam dunk the MAV into the next map.

The ranger does a pretty good job of ground-based standoff for suppression, especially at the top of the buildings on Hourglass.

Gives just enough time to take cover or move to address the threat.

I'd like a mobile medical one though, that'd be pretty handy. It'd probably also be targeted quickly.

i like the idea of having specialists and 128 players, the weather affects and the expansion of the game to more gamemodes beyond what it used to be, with portal, hz, and the aow with conquest and breakthrough
i like that i am not restricted to the loadout of classes and i am free to use any combination of weaponry and gadgets
i enjoy playing the game because it is, in my mind, a chaotic battleground, and that makes it fun
