Mackay plays perfectly into my playstyle though, the sheer mobility the grappling hook fires let’s you hit enemies from angles they’d never expect

I bought it, because of hype, and because it looked intriguing. Same reason you bought 2042. It ended up not being the game you wanted. It happens.

2042 is far from perfect. Very far. It’s still a decent game. The reason the previous games are doing better is a combination of players preferring them, and players who never stopped playing them. There’s nothing wrong with that. I still play BF1 sometimes too, cause I love it. Also, content is super dry on 2042 right now. There’s not much reason to get on it every day.

I’ve played 2042 on my Xbox one X , I haven’t seen any of these problems with waiting times for games etc . Full lobbies and always a good game , yes I think the maps etc could be tweaked but that will come . I’m happy to be patient as I’m convinced it’s going on the right track .

For me map adjustments, additional weapons , attachment and recoil control and new content hopefully is on the road map

I think over time the key issue I've settled on is that nearly every capture zone in the game is entirely outdoors in wide open spaces
There needs to be more buildings and structures that have cap points inside for infantry to fight in like the ones in siege of Shanghai and flood zone and narrow city streets dense with buildings like dawnbreaker
