Wait / I feel you and i like this game But … 1. It had a lot of bugs in the launch and because of that many people have already left the game immediately 2. It lacks a lot of things like scoreboard and a server browser and ye more things , these are little details but important . I paid 120 for this and still not a content . And they are saying season 1 will come in summer which makes people more angry . We keep playing the same thing from november. But ye i feel you but maybe The vehicles in this game also have problems because I think the vehicles plays a bigger role than the infantry and thats not a good thing .

1. i think theyve cheaped out on the servers, the lack of a rotation shows that to me, if the server dies after every game, you cant do a server browser. cuz a server is only created when people search for a game, plus, if you had a browser, and you joined a game, that game would end and you'd be thrown out anyway, and youre back at step 1.
2. to protect streamers
3. i think cod has a similar matchmaking system (not to mention, if you look at the "game was a BR" theory, the server thingy makes sense, you dont need rotations for a BR, the server starts when players search for a game, i think they planned out the server startup and die out system when the game was still set out to be a BR, but when they changed the game, they couldnt change the server aspect for some reason)
4. to limit stacking and generally keep people in their regions (could be a deterrent agaisnt asian hackers in other regions)

This is probably going to be highly controversial, but I’d like to say that I really appreciate 2042 having longer idle timers than other Battlefields. I’m used to going to the bathroom or whatever between matches in other Battlefield games, and getting kicked literally as I’m coming back to my console and sitting down.

I just got kicked from 2042 for being idle for the first time ever, and I’m okay with it (though once again, it happened literally as I was pulling the chair out from the desk to sit down). I’m a caregiver for my mother, and she currently sleeps in a cot right next to where I play. I frequently have to go lull her back to sleep in the middle of the night. It only takes a couple minutes, usually, but in any other Battlefield game, I’d end up getting kicked 90% of the time that I went to go take care of her. In 2042, I can take care of her, get her back to sleep, and come sit back down and continue playing, while still doing well enough to get end of round highlights like most revives, most repairs, etc.

I would like to see more map-specific major events. The tornado is basically the levelution (or is it levolution, I’ve never seen it written), and having the same one on every map is a little meh. There are other things that fill that role, like the rocket on orbital, or sandstorms, but...

That said, it definitely throws an interesting wrench in the works of the battle, and I can’t say it really significantly impacts performance, and that’s on a basic Xbox One.

There’s definitely a little frame drop, but nothing too bad, at least from my perspective (as primarily a console player, I consider 30 fps perfectly acceptable, and am perfectly understanding of the occasional dip).

I checked the information. Retrying with the cross play enabled is the best fix for the Battlefield 2042 Stuck at 'Waiting for Players to Join' Screen. If the waiting goes for more than 5 minutes, cancel and retry again. After repeating the process a few times, you should be able to get into a game without having to wait for very long.

I really dislike the main consensus people have of "Lets make the maps more action packed by removing all the open spaces and squashing everything together", I much prefer the idea of filling the open areas with believeable stuff to act as cover, it not only makes the map feel big but also play well. Great format though, really hope a dev sees it
