They really need to let go of frostbite.
It's so hard to work with and not that good anymore so if you put a bunch of developers in home office because of corona and they work with a program they never worked with before and it's called frostbite then you can put it instantly in the bin.

One of my main gripes is that the match feels empty. You fight clones of yourself on flat ground where you are expected to make your own fun. There’s no interesting geometry, no sense of urgency or reason. It’s just off

Bf1 of course has its pre round speeches, voice call outs in their own language, actual locations that make sense as to why you are fighting there. 2042 doesn’t have anything like that

Thing is about points, let’s say you are a medic. You could heal someone for 60 hp, that’s almost a kill’s worth of points. This means that by being a medic you could top the scoreboard and help to win the match by helping others

But from memory, it takes 10 heals to match 1 kill, which means more emphasis is put on kills since your healing contributions aren’t displayed anywhere
