Normally Anti materiel rifles are not to be used at very long distances, and their bullet speeds are nowhere near the actual long range snipers. After all they shoot an incredibly big bullet. And our target for the NTW-50 is to be an anti-vehicle sniper with the side effect of killing some personnel too, somewhat-effectively.

What we did wanted to avoid is that people see "OMG 1 SHOT SNIPER" and go nuts after it. We really wanted it to be a conscious choice of, what you are gaining (1 hit potential, damage to vehicles) vs what you are sacrificing (Bullet travel, drop, ads speed).

Yes! The biggest piece of advice I can give you before I fall asleep is...

Do prototypes. Regardless if you wanna work in engineering, design, UX, art... Do prototypes. Download Unreal, Unity, Godot, any of them, and start by doing a shitty Mario clone... There are hundreds of tutorials out there, for free. Then go 3D and do another shitty Mario clone but this time do something unique... And then maybe try to do a simple FPS... They will all be crude, crappy and nobody will play them, but they will teach you how everything ties together, how disciplines that are not yours work and how you can help them.

A good library of prototypes/projects I can see in itch.io or YouTube are worth more than any title, any recommendation letter and any CV...

Internships and junior roles aren't to teach you how stuff works, they are to help you improve on those areas, the basic learning part you gotta do on your own, and small projects/prototypes are the best way to showcase it.
