Well for one the game is a grunt shooter, you are supposed to be a regular soldier that you can place yourself into in a war, you should not see 10 of the same person with a personality running around. You may argue that with the old class system it was the same but think not, it is like the difference between a bunch of stormtroopers running around as opposed to a bunch of Han Solos running around. Second there are no cheesy corny lines that can be said with a regular soldier as opposed to a hero. Third, it destroys the gameplay loop because classes were a core part of Battlefield infantry combat throughout the entire series and the benefits of that are obvious. Fourth, it opens the door to endless monetization and stupid cosmetics like COD and Apex, which is what the specialists are obviously intended for. Want any more reasons why heroes don't fit in BF?
