the best thing you can do is just get your weapon to mastery 12 against bots so you have all attachments and can get a feel for the weapon, and then just hop in breaktrough or camp on enemy objectives with insertion beacon and pick off people

For sure BF2042 is a failure from DICE/EA.

Why failure ?

Peoples lose interest in BF2042 because of many issues and problem related to bug/feature/contents and core design.

The game couldn't keep/maintain a decent numbers of playerbase. (They probably estimate how many will be active before the release from old data.... and it's probably didn't reach their expectation.)

EA are probably planning and prep. to make BF2042 F2P to regain players and probably trying to implement their monetisation system.
