its not about being problematic in terms of balance, but PERSONALLY i liked the locked loadouts because i had to work with the pros and cons of each class, i couldnt just create MY perfect super soldier and be on my way. there were pros and cons to classes, and working within those conditions was/is fun

So after reading most of the negative reviews, I’ve come to the conclusion that they just want Battlefield 4 again. The game has had issues, but from my experience, it isn’t broken, well not on my Series X. Can the game be improved, yes. An adjustment is needed to get this where it needs to be, but I don’t foresee Battlefield fans of old being happy. It’s a different game, it’s not Battlefield 4, you’ll either like it or not.
I do feel improvements in the following would help:

1. More destruction on maps
2. More light ground vehicles to get around
3. More balancing, there is a flood of MacKay and Sundance
4. More modes and/or full XP in Portal
5. Scoreboard and after action report
6. Input based lobbies, controller players want to play other controller players
   I’m sure there’s more, but that’s where I’m currently at.
   The game overall I feel is pretty good, though it is a departure from previous installments of the franchise.

also theres practically no skill ceiling the've purposly destroyed it as with every aspect of the game

Yeah, jets aren't as fun in this game as in previous games

I definitely think the skill ceiling too high in BF4 and 3 because practically nobody could get into flying

a good player would obliterate them every match

but they went into the EXTREME in this title in the opposite direction

you can see this with the fact that jet cannons are like roman candles and the rest of the weapons are easy to use lock ons

the cannons are hard to use but their not rewarding unlike the miniguns in bf4

even when you master them there are EXTREME limitations with what you can do

30mm cannons is a 9 hit on infantry the bloom is INSANE

the jets fall out of the sky if you slow down making strafes very short

I've installed and configured XOutput and HidHide, successful had Steam recognize the joystick as an xbox controller, configured the joystick mapping in XOutput, and yet still BF2042 does not recognize that I have a joystick/controller plugged in. I mean technically, I can't tell if knows anything or not, I've just found that I can't remap any buttons because it doesn't recognize that I'm pressing any buttons or anything like that. My joystick is a Thrustmaster 16000m

NEED HELP: has anyone figured out a way to spawn in with the correct loadout every time? Every time I die I have to switch to my first loadout. It keeps making me want to choose the sniper class. Same with at the beginning of a game. I wish we could favorite a loadout so this wouldn't happen!

I know. But that doesn't change the fact that I have to constantly choose the correct loadout. I literally only use my first loadout atm. And it keeps making me spawn with my last loadout when I start a game or in the middle of the game many times. It's extremely annoying for the game modes where you can't pick your loadout at the beginning so I have to re-deploy then choose the correct loadout. Then come back in.
