The reveal trailer for BFV was just a bad trailer by itself. Namely because of how confusing it was. Women being in it wasn't a problem, and anyone who thought so never cared about BF in the first place. It was like, is gonna be a more steampunk WW2 game? Does it intend to be more silly? Etc. Direction wasn't clear at all, and the overall flow of it was bad.

Once again I can only speak from personal experience but as the old guard of video game developer start to retire and the younger generation is taking over they seem to be more focused on revenue than quality of the experience of the gamer. That problem seems to stem from the education that they're receiving being based on what I can only assume is the mobile gaming market which is entirely revenue focused and they think that every game needs to make a bajillion dollars when instead a game needs to be great otherwise it won't make a bajillion dollars

The only teams that seem to actually know wtf is going on are the small indie devs. You know why? Because they don’t have the luxury of milking a brand. They have to actually put out a good product to succeed. Call of duty, battlefield and any Tom clancy game has been riding off the name recognition alone. They don’t have to make a good product anymore for people to give them money.

So they use the model of a game that has made a bajillion dollars and then they try to apply that to every game that they make and it fails like 60% of the time

All totally fair. The experience definitely plateau'd after getting all unlocks, but it's still been a good experience. The WW2 theme depends on the game for me. A lot of the problems that people are having with the gunplay is because the settings are confusing and poorly explained.

There's quite a few YouTube videos out there that will walk you through how to set up the settings so that the recoil issues vanish and whatnot, and I found honestly that after doing so the gunplay in 2042 is pretty darn good

I'll hate on this game where it's warranted but the gunplay is not that bad
