My one point of concern with this game has to do with the "defeat" feature at the end of the game. Now I understand that there's objectives in this game and a lot of people are encouraged to follow them but I find the screen showing "defeat" at the end of the round unnerving and very discouraging. The other day I spent an hour hiking around exploring the deserted snowy mountains of Breakaway, listening to my favorite chill tunes and avoiding needless conflict as much as possible. And all of a sudden a screen pops up saying I've been defeated. I really don't understand why such messaging is necessary in this game if I'm choosing not to participate in the violent and competitive side of this game why should I be subjected to some silly victory/defeat narrative?

As a somewhat anxious person I love the fact that this game is really chill and doesn't force judgement on you as much as other competitive games that will remain nameless. In other games teammates are allowed to communicate and harass you for not performing up to their standard, and that has made me quit games in the past. BF2042 can be downloaded from steam, epic, origin and consoles. And most importantly we have to take into account that most of the bugs are only on PC, so it makes sense for the pc players (steam) to drop the game. Console has been fine for the most part.
