i dont think 2042 is like that, i think they made a decision to optimize 2042 a specific way so it can meet a minimum across the board (lower end hardware/console can get 60 fps), but high end systems get fucked over and dont scale

theres like 5 differnt ribbons u can get each match. ribbon for kills / assist, ribbon for reviving healing / capturing flags / etc.
5 kills and assist is like the first ribbon u get 1000xp. 10 kills u get 2000xp for the ribbon. 15 kills u get the last ribbon for kills with 3000 xp. The same works for healing / spotting / ammo request.
Just do all at ones. The xp numbers might be wrong is just an example

Also the shotguns could be easily counters with a few headshots. They’re not op at all in this game like cod. No other game has ever conveyed camping like mw19. Mw2 had campers but the gunplay and maps could easily counter them

I could argue against you on all of these points, but I think the point that can be agreed upon probably is that the atmosphere is out of touch and contrdictory.

We're in an almost apocalyptic world, where many nations have collapsed, and the ones and people remaining are fighting for resources to survive, let alone be fed. But then you have the adverts being "What a time to be alive!", and then Mackay's and Angel's quotes, which make the whole setting seem some sort of bloodsport.
