Not even that, all games now have some level of skill based matchmaking, but to keep a game playable (you dont get matched with 300 ping) there is also region based matchmaking, this will skew any KD stats so much depending on where you live, take South Africa, Hawaii, Egypt in warzone, the top players KDs are literally double those from places like the UK, France, Germany, Sweden etc etc simply because they're far from the servers so get easy ass lobbies

I can tell you now, it can defo improve your performance, but most people dont understand what they are doing wrong, and as such wont understand being given all this data exactly what it means or how to change how they are playing to get to a "pro" level, 100% agree it could say boost your KD from 0.5 to a 0.7 etc etc, but no amount of stats will take you from trash to pro unless you have someone at a pro level there to explain it to you and show you. Equally as I said before there are just so many different viable play styles, each with there own nuance.

Plus as people improve, the level to be "pro" increases as such, meaning its doing stuff not expected and "against the grain" that distinguishes good and great players. So if anything following what you are told to do to be good will defo improve your performance as stated before, but following instructions just allows the actual good players to predict and outplay you, being a true professional is knowing how to be good, but being able to adapt to other good players and do the unexpected to out play them, something that cant be taught, something that must be acquired from hours and hours of play time, as well as a natural ability to understand the game and the people playing it

There is a big difference between camping and positioning tbh in warzone, and its often confused the difference between them, e.g if you are sitting on top of airport or ATC on Verdansk, that is positioning your self well, I have no issue dying to these players (albeit annoying that these places existed in the map to begin with), camping however is sitting with a shotgun in a random house in the middle of nowhere in a bathtub with a heart beat sensor and two claymores in front of you, this I have an issue with, and this is unfortunately becoming very common amongst the "players" playing to grind wins, so many people in warzone with 70% win percentages, yet averaging 1-2 kills per game max, hardly playing the game when all you do is rat it out imo, and certainly doesnt show any actual skill, but yeah, if thats how they gotta play

to expand, winning in warzone/apex requires you to be last man standing, as such it encourages play styles that increase you survival chance, and what better way to do so than to not play the game and just let a bunch of claymores do the work, or use a gun (shotgun usually) which nothing a person actually moving and playing can beat with the weapons they will use?, and thats my issue with ratting, it takes the playing out of the game while increasing your chances of reward and success a shit ton. With BF there is nothing gained from sitting in a corner with a 12M other than the occasional kill, a 50% chance of winning the game, and I guess maybe increasing your KD a little, hence not so much of an issue

It's not a console thing, me and a couple friends used to always get our settings reset every other day. We copied the settings folder in its entirety to replace every time it does that. I think it still does it but haven't played for 2 weeks.
