the battle pass is what $7.5 per season based on the gold edition vs standard ($30 price difference for 4 seasons). The previous premium editions ran an extra $50 so it came out to $10/DLC. Not really much of a price difference there.

Personally, as someone who has never bought a Battlefield title prior to 2042, I really enjoy the game, it takes trends from all my favorite titles like Apex, Cod, and rainbow six siege and combines them into a platform that makes me really immersed. I love the specialists and think they're really in depth and unique, I can't wait to buy so many skins for my Sundance! Yeah, thats a fair point, but the specialists themselves as they are add nothing to the game. My point still stands that they simply just gatekeep certain gadgets instead of having a traditional class system where gadgets are something you can choose between. Why do I have to play as a 'character' to use a riot shield, instead of using a class? They just want you to buy skins, that's all they're there for. More and more people are starting to realize that the game is just following trends of other mainstream games, instead of building upon what made Battlefield a different franchise in the first place.

Yeah. Discarded is the best map because of this. Snipers always out in the distance. Just glide out there with Sundance and murder them. This is low key why I like specialists a lot

the reason ww1 is more gritty comapred to our current warfare is ww1 men ran to the front lines. bullets flying everywhere, people screaming knowing they'll die but try to get themselves a kill to survive while running through no mans land.

modern day is more tactical and filled with communications
