you are only synchronizing on your shard, while other players are on theirs in a huge single server
if that was the case in battlefield, everytime you entered an objective area, you would have to sync with players in that "shard", planetside makes it work because its a huge ass map

Now you move & jump like you are on the Moon. When someone shooting me I cant jump because I stay too long ion the air and untill I get on the ground i get killed. Portal has better movement. Make it consistent. Dont fall for that crap when players complain about enemy harder to kill when bunny hops & jumpshots. Thats a skill gap, NOT a game bug. Too many spotting devices. BFV was no spotting, now is Auto-Spotting devices everywhere

My view on this performance issue with 100 players is back when it was going to be a BR, that issue would only persist maybe in the first couple moments in the game, then as the numbers dwindled, the performance would get better like other BR games, but with the U turn from BR, they stuck with 100 players constantly and had not optimised for that goal. hmm, hypothesis anyway.

If it was on EA play I still wouldn't recommend it. So many more polished TA games to play and the worst of them all. Portal is ok but if portal was only 2042 content and those god awful maps would it be? I think it would only be potential. With more eras it's actually more then just potential. One mode is the entire experience and everything else is the unofficial side modes. BF2042: Portal is what it should be called.

BF1 didn't really promote teamplay enough for me, just shooting was still way more effective in rewarding people. BF2042 do a lot more than BF1 ever did but still need tweaking.
