Suggestion for xp change: firstly, it should obviously reward way more for objective play than killing, like you said. Secondly, they should obviously bring back the bfv thing where you get extra XP for following squad orders (SERIOUSLY bring that back). But a new idea: if your squad leader marks an objective for defence, and you are on the objective after it's marked, you should get an xp bonus every 5 seconds while you're on that obj marked for defense. Instead of just giving an xp boost after the defence order timer runs out

Vehicle physics are extremely floaty and are not skilled based. Helis for instance, they're a lot less maneuverable and are more clunky in comparison to BF4.
Tanks lost all of the variety and depth they had in BFV, as well.

BF3 had comedic voicelines, but their tone, how they were written, the execution of them makes them feel real.
There's fear and stress in them, but you can tell it's an attempt to ease up the situation.

BF2042 on the other hand is completely out of place with the lore that's been set up, and are meant to be purely silly.
They are written in such an upbeat way, it makes the specialist seem like they enjoy war. It conflicts heavily with the settings theme and loses pretty much all sense of direction. The Exodus short film makes zero sense in comparison to the style in-game.

BF has always tried to have serious and gritty art direction, with unrealistic gameplay.
