I remember playing battlefield 2: modern combat and when you die you'd respawn but into an active AI soldier and take over the AI. I remember role-playing being a normal soldier trying not to die. The class systems were restricting but in a good way to make teamwork almost forced. People complained that it was restrictive because they couldn't have ammo when they are sniping behind enemy lines. But 2042 a Sniper can just keep throwing down ammo and not be forced to contribute more and move up in hope to find ammo.

Here's how air to air missiles need to work: make it so that IR missiles more agile, give ARH missile more range but less agile. Like 90% probability of hit without countermeasures for IR, 60% for ARH.

Make it so you get a limited number of flares, and when they run out, then you have a reload period. Don't have it like now where you throw out all your flares in 1 pop. Make it so as you hold the countermeasure button, you dump more flares. Make the flares reduce probability of hit, but not completely make them miss.

Okay, so on a real missile when it comes off the rail, it needs to delay it's autopilot (what moves the control fins) for a certain periods this means it will fly straight, and once it's a safe distance from the launch aircraft, it will begin to guide. BF2042 is the first BF to do this, but the timeout period is way too long. So if you are very close, the missile is just gonna fly straight past the target and spaz out. They need to make that timeout period relatively short for IR missiles.

But 100% I know battlefield 4 guns and vehicles are quite polished and I give credit to it being true to its simple identity of 4 classes and not a huge mix of sub-classes and stuff thats going to make balancing this game extremely complex. Mainly on nvidia's end I guess. But when I go into the settings menu the game says "720p" but the res is clearly 1080p. Maybe there's a launch command i can run to force 1080p

Like for attachments or xp? If you want attachments just do solo matches and wipe out bots. If you want xp, hazard zone is the fastest.

Because 2042 is a 128 player game with huge map and render distance. It scales with ram and cpu IPC like warzone. U play a portal with 64 players and ur fps skyrocket
