Settings are saved in documents/battlefield2042/settings. Many people have had the issue in this and previous games that Onedrive, Google Drive, Antivirus, Anti-malware, certain backup solutions, windows settings etc. messes with that folder. Until you figure out what messes with the settings folder you can always take a backup of it one your settings are dialed in, in case you need to restore.

HERE is the deal: A lot of the time in 2042, to be an efficient squad that communicates and supports each other with supplies/firepower, most of the squad has to use anti-tank or anti-air gadgets because of vehicle callins (too many vehicles too readily available). If you wanna fill all roles while still being an efficient infantry squad then you are only gonna have 1 person with health packs and 1 with ammo
