The biggest problem with 2042 is the combat density. It’s so overlooked. They split the objectives into sectors, but teams do not spread out at all because they collect naturally as they spawn on eachother, so one team caps one objective at a time, there is one person watching every square inch of the battlefield at that one hotspot, the combat barely lets you engage out of cover for more than 2 seconds. You can’t use cover effectively also because if you could, then the entire enemy team lined up could also, so it’s really complex. There needs to be an incentive to patrol captured objectives so that it thins out the frontline more.

ive played every battlefield since 1942 when I was in highschool. This is the absolute worst half baked attempt of a battlefield game ive seen in my 20 years of playing first person shooters.

To use an analogy which I think is appropriate, for the Boris Santa skin:

If anyone remembers the end of what I think was Captian Marvel (no spoilers), whoever it was (Nick Fury maybe?) is considering the name of The Avengers (it's like the protectors or whatever back then), and he sees the "Avenger" name in the photo and starts typing, and that's the end. You don't see the screen and him type out "AVENGERS". It just ends.

It's effective because as the viewer YOU GET IT. It's unspoken. Making a Boris skin with a white beard and white or dark red tactical camo would have worked, in the same way the movie ended. The santa skin as is now is like seeing Fury type "THE AVENGERS", blatantly and obviously. Which in my mind, defeats the point of the nod to the holiday.
