start in bot practice mode, aka "solo/coop" and cap out at 360-390 smart explosive kills by sitting behind a vent on the rooftop of the last point on Kaleidoscope. Once you've capped out and have to progress the rest in the actual main game, you can wingsuit over campers behind rocks and drop your scatter grenade overtop of them and wingsuit away. Basically dive-bomb them. If you're lucky enough to get the defending side of Orbital on breakthrough you just chuck the nades down stairwells or in the elevators as they keep coming up like they're serving meals to you. Always play breakthrough. Also, turn off cross-play in Breakthrough and you'll usually get a server half-full of bots so that makes it easier. glhf
