The thing is, it works even less in comp shooters (at least the ones I've played). Halo is one of the very few games that I think actually get SBMM right. It's been a thing in Halo since 3 (2007) and I haven't ever seen anyone complain about it.

In MW 2019 it was a skill bracket swap every hour. 5 games of stomping which puts you in a higher bracket, then 5 games of getting absolutely SHAT upon by people well above your level, which puts you into a much lower bracket than you originally were in, and then it's 5 games of literal toddlers with no thumbs, which isn't fun at all, which puts you in a higher skill bracket.

Repeat this forever. This is the MW 2019 experience with SBMM.

I don't care about the meta in games, personally. Battlefield is a sandbox and having variety pushes that idea further. I want more content. Which there is a lot of, a fuck ton actually. The issue is that it's all faction locked so you can barely use any of it within a match. If they gave an option to remove the lock, this would be fine imo.
