The 2042 era, for example, as 2 jets in total. If you open up all of the content as an option in portal, that's raised to 4. This applies to everything else, as well. It gives you more to have fun with. It makes the experience a lot more varied.

Content is faction locked, therefore you can't use 2042 content (outside of maps) with BF3 classes. The only thing that allows you to do this is the Rules Editor, but that is TDM and FFA only.

All of this is 100%. Biggest inaccuracies were in the attachments. Many soldiers did not have optics on snipers. Mainly the Germans were the primary optic creators. The allies spent the majority of time picking up German optics and trying to figure out how their scope was so good lol
