It's a symptom of the industry that everyone copies what works well in other games. CoD's movement and shooting is fantastic imo. That's why BF is kind of adopting a few mechanics. The little dopamine rush you get from the sound of getting a headshot is calculated and they know it. The intellectual property rights block anyone from making anything identical though so its interesting to see what other development teams create.
