If you still expecting generic soldiers to return in base AoW at this point, just apply the "Don't like it? Don't buy it" mentality from . Besides, DICE/EA is only gonna lose 60/70 USD * X amount of consumers from this decision and gain more from the new target audience.

The Generic Soldier classes may return as an afterthought farther down the line or maybe not, just keep your expectations low.

This change is inconveniencing for "veterans" but better for the gains of the franchise and the companies that are not your friends.

As someone who's played since BF2, I think there is some nice potential with specialists: primarily, I've always thought it allows for more build diversity. Players can now serve a team role in their own way, and come up with some unique builds.

I do think this will require DICE to, more than ever, stay on top of gadget and weapon balance though, to ensure the same gear choices or specialists aren't always run dramatically more than others

If they can't resolve balance issues, you will have meta loadouts and specialists dominate. However, if everything is balanced (or at least teamplay gear and gadgets are slightly more powereful than stuff like rocket launchers), I think you can get a cool mixture of loadouts

Tom did say some of those Red and Black skins had a Blue variant but I don't know if that's intended for faction indicators or just customization regardless of which side you're on

There was some mention that there is a bit of a tint applied, or something? That wasn't in the beta (or wasn't as strong) so that could help.

Likewise, just better consistency with the IFF UI would help too. Often times close friendlies still retain the small blue icon over their head which gets lost in the sky

Normal vehicles are death trap.. specially with tanks you can blow them and get easy 4 kills.. also at the start of the match plane flies over.. drops bombs and half your team is dead

BF1 they didn’t sell skins and every faction had a clear silhouette for each class and obvious signs for each faction

BFV they changed it so no class had an obvious silhouette but you could still identify which team was which
