I would argue EA would be better off to have different products/franchises cater to different audiences, instead of converging onto the same audience with both Apex and Battlefield, for example. (As things stand now, Battlefield probably caters to a of players that are are otherwise not compelled by Apex Legends and FIFA and such.)

I do recall that assault rifles for BF3 had about 1.5x the gravity acceleration exerted on it (15 m/s^2). While snipers had the normal gravity value (9.8 m/s^2).
Maybe they did some funny things to gravitational acceleration for snipers in subsequent BF titles.

So even if speed is correct, this can lead to unexpected drop.
