BF 2042 definitely lost the touch previous games had. Especially in the immersion (Animations, details, art style) department for this game. I can't figure out why they intentionally downgraded the movment system into what it is. Same with how basic animations are now. It just looks so, cheaply made. I am quite happy with Halo Infinite. Also literally who asked for specialists in the first place for a BF game? The removal of classes and their specifications and limitations makes this game worse. It discourages squad play and cuts out the heart of what made Battlefield. That would be like removing the arena style combat from Halo. It's no longer Halo just like this isn't Battlefield. Seems like DICE's anti cheat strat is to include cheats such as Wallhacks in the specialist, wow.

Hardcore is both better and worse than core when it comes to Battlefield. Better in the sense that less health means more weapons are viable as well as having the ability to be more sneaky due to the limited HUD, but worse in the sense that vehicles are IMMENSELY overpowered in hardcore.

I'll probably be playing some hardcore in BF2042, though.

Strangely enough, the biggest issue I had with IFF in BF2042 is that teammates had really awful icons that were really hard to see. However, when an enemy happened, I never got confused.
