That is not how that works. People act like people, which works in smaller games like CoD because you don't need to infer as much due to how small the maps are and how the spawn system works. But BF is far larger and more fluid with its spawning logic, so you can't really on that. If all HUDs were off, so many people would shoot their teammates unless hit-markers only worked on enemies and still popped up in no HUD. The only way to know is to shoot anyone and either watch if they don't die after mag-dumping them at point blank, or of the drop dead and you get XP for killing an enemy. The best way to show why uniforms, especially with no HUD, are important is to play a game like Squad. The only way to tell who's on what team is uniform. No kill confirm. No XP or hit-marker. Just clothing and a gunshot.

It does do a weird attempt at trying to give older fans something that they like, sadly by side-lining them because the original content for BF2042 isn't designed for them. BF4 is the best example to memory because of how its classes were split. Every class had tools to kill because of their primary weapons classes and the intermediary weapons like DMR's and such. But, they all had tools which were for their respect role in the team. It did not matter what class you played realistically because the mose effective classes for just killing was Assault, who had medical equipment, so even the selfish players still helped the team because they just had the kit in them that teammates could make use of, but the other classes specialties made them more viable for more scenarios than just Assault. And each had their own team orientated kit, from ammo to repair tools to spawn beacons. You quite literally had to try not to be helpful to not help the team in some regard
