XCOM 2 is a phenomenal game, and the side-project XCOM Chimera Squad was super entertaining despite short. Actually i think i would recommend Chimera Squad more 😄

Total War Warhammer ( I & II) is pretty much what every warhammer fan ever asked, if you are into that franchise.

Endless Legends + Endless Space are VERY different (one is turn based, hexagons, the other is grand strategy in space) are extremely good and offer hundreds of hours of entertaining there

I would argue against this. Right now that is truly the case, but until AMD FSR doesnt offer better gains, DLSS is an instrumental piece to guarantee longevity.

Like sure your RTX 3080 runs everything now, but what about in 5-6 years? Then, DLSS might save you a couple more years before upgrade, whereas FSR will leave you hanging.

Also Windows 11 is gimping AMD for now, so also a careful choice there.

Well I have kinda come to grips that the specialist system is staying, and im kinda fine with that to an extent. Imo they just need two gadget slots for certain specialists which include 1 lethal and 1 nonlethal slot, maybee some minor weapon restrictions for some specailists, and also gadget restrictions for some specialsits, other than that, they could be rather fun

For example everything you can equip, including weapons, equipment had a value between 1 and 10.

Everything your carrying must add up to a maximum of 10.

So if A sniper rifle was 7 and ammo boxes were 4, you couldnt equip them together?

One of the major movement issues is this weird sticky effect that happens when you move. It's like your character is glued to the floor, and bounces back a bit when you stop moving. It's not netcode though, it's purely a visual thing.

heres a good example: in 1942 and BF2 there is an anti tank class. This class cannot support their teammates, but they are the only class that is a serious threat to tanks. However, they're given much weaker weapons, so they need to work with others to stay alive, and others need to stick with the AT to deal with tanks.
Not saying that they should copy bf2's system, but dynamics like this work very well.

I really don't like the movement this time around. BFV perfected it, kept it grounded but nuanced with many good features added. 2042 lacks any weight, it feels so floaty, incomplete, and off, and removed so many features. So disappointed they downgraded it.
