halo will have a decent amount of players, since the multiplayer is free for everyone on PC and xbox will have a chance to try it if they have never played it. BF2042 on the other hand will be very different, with HZ behind a pay wall many people will lose interest on the game since if you wanna try it, pay for it and the streamers won't play it bc the audience will move tp the free good stuff, like warzone and halo

I know that the beta had a fuck tonne of issues, ranging from balance, to bugs, to optimization. But I also know that we got 40% of the specialists, 7% of the maps, 7 weapons & limited vehicles. All thrown together in a build that is/was somewhere from 5 weeks to 9 weeks old.

If people really want to cancel pre-orders based on those aspects, then I find it mad. BUT... if they just dont like gameplay/mechanics...then cancelling is fair IMO.

The best course of action for those people may be to get the EA play at launch and try for 10 hours. If they dont like it...they lose 2.99...if they do they save 7.99 on the game with the 10% discount.

If you all think all the serious issues are going to be fixed in 1-3 months (depending on how much stock you put in the “it’s an old build” thing) you guys are flat out ignoring DICE’s track record. The portal characters appear to be considered specialists, with their own specialist gadget and perk. If theyre running on the same system, then that means that there is already a system for weapon and gadget limitations on specialists in the game.
Easy fix? probably not. But its certainly a possible one.

I think there were definitely some UI and other items that could be fixed in time. The Netcode could have been due to how there was no regional servers and if not I hope it’s not as bad on release. I’m surprised people are complaining about that more than the “remove specialist” spam.

I feel like a lot of the issues w/ immersion would be gone if they didnt give specialists names and lore. People are right that its the same as seeing 3 of a class in previous games, the difference is that the game tells you outright that its a specific person.
Like imagine if instead of "Casper, Rao, and Paik" it was "Scout, Hacker, and Infiltrator"
