Sliding is useful for fast paced gameplay but in my opinion you shouldn't be able to just slide, jump and run your way out of a gun fight like you can do in Apex, it's likely why they made the TTK faster and the reason they nerfed older games slide so much. It doesn't belong because the game is no longer grounded by any realism at all, why play somewhat tactical or think about where your going if you can just slide, run and dive your way out of situations. It becomes faster more COD styled gameplay and it shouldn't be

Battlefield in itself wasn’t really ever “tactical” it was just longer to execute certain goals. Suppression basically made people miss a lot of shots and give people a lot of room to survive, as did stuff like making weapon bloom exist so you only end up hitting half of your shots. Its not that battlefield itself is becoming less tactical, it’s just becoming more punishing, and that isn’t a bad thing
