I used to really want an open ended class system. Now that I've tasted it, I appreciate the old BF games even more. Especially with the Plus system. It's cool to swap an optic, but swapping calibers is so broken. For example, if you have the M5A3, you have zero reason to pick up the DM7 or the PBX45 because you can just swap calibers on the fly.... It's arcadey and broken.

Literally no one complained about the class system, as it was refinied, it was fair, it was what made Battlefield unique for the most part. Because sometimes you have to try something different and see how it plays out. It’s something a lot of the community is comfortable with the original class system which is why they even made portal so people could play that if they didn’t enjoy the new system. You could literally call the specialists classes and it’s just new class system just more classes and you’re locked into gadgets and now have a name. You don’t have to have complaints about something to change it. The class system was not refined or fair. Over the course of each BF iteration what weapons and gadgets were available to each class have changed because of how hard it is to balance them.

There is such thing as too much freedom in video games. There needs to be restrictions in certain realms. Thats what made the old class system great, you had to make sacrifices. If you wanted to play as a medic to rez/heal people, you had to give up long range capabilites and the ability to take out heavy armor. But with specialists, you can use a sniper rifle, have a rocket launcher, and play as a "medic" specialist

Titanfall is the TRUE super soldier speed. CoD is just like 20-10% faster depending on the game
