I know, there's a lot of content actually, especially for a BF game. What I'm saying is that it feels like in return, the gameplay has been severely stripped down.
Movement is BF4 level, with the slide being incredibly clunky. They said a fix was coming for slide at least, though. The animations and details are nonexistent, the gun bob looks really stiff and lifeless. There's no incentive for teamplay, classes being removed was just a big mistake imo.

There's a lot of content, but if the gameplay isn't good, then that's meaningless. Just how I feel though.

Moving through ditches is just moving, you could move through a ditch in BF 1942. That's basic movement in the game, just like how you can move on the floor of a building.
Vaulting has been severely stripped down in terms of animations, and looks incredibly rough now. I have no idea what you mean by sloped movement to be honest.
Here's a list of things removed/stripped down to put into perspective how limited movement is now.

• Swimming Underwater (BF4 Onwards)
• Prone in multiple angles (BFV)
• Leaning or Auto Leaning (BF4 onwards)
• Animations for vaulting and sliding
• Your player jumping up to a ledge they can't fully reach, shown off with a quick animation (BFV)
• Knockback from explosions (BFV)
• Reviving and Bleeding out animations (BFV)

All of these are gone for absolutely no good reason. These improved the movement and overall QoL of BFV and previous BF games so much.
Yet for whatever reason, they're simply missing. It's such a downgrade and is honestly so disappointing imo.

Most of the animations are hilariously bad honestly. Vaulting looks like your character is floating over an onto objects.
Gun bob looks insanely stiff as well. Characters don't react to explosions or the environment at all, there's zero detail in the animations.
The only thing I think really looks good is the reload animations.

Now, Battlefield 4 is by no means a perfect game, but look at that game as an example for what I mean, as it is the most recent game to be set in a similar time period as 2042. There are four classes: Assault, Engineer, Support, and Recon. Each could do their own unique things, and each couldn't do things other classes can. As an Engineer, you have access to rocket launchers, mines, the repair tool, and other things to fix and destroy vehicles — but you couldn't heal people, use assault rifles, or anything else that only the Assault class can do.
