Hardcore sniping is easier, since you get 1 hit body kills. close quarters is different, since while you do have faster kills, you also have faster deaths

think about it this way, its very easy to say a game is easy when you can survive 6 rounds and walk away, its also very easy to be able to kill someone in 1 bullet. Hardcore games aren't more "skilled oriented" than casual arcade games lol. RS2 is super easy if you want it to be, lay down in some brush in a jungle and clear 60-70 kills a game because the enemy cant see you and all it takes is 1 shot to kill someone

Hardcore games usually lack impressive movement mechanics. Grounded games like squad, Rising storm, Verdun, BTW, PS, HLL. All the sprinting and movement is extremely limited. Arcade games abuse the idea of movement mechanics like wall running, sliding, jumping, vault cancelling, slide cancelling, boosting. Etc. So hardcore people tend to be slower and always seem planted to the ground. Both require different skill sets but I wouldn't say hardcore is more skill oriented all because you die quicker

I played a lot of BF1, then a lot of BFV when it released. I stopped playing for like 2 months due to work, and when I returned the balance had been changed a tonne. I didnt like it. I did play a bit more, but I much preferred the faster TTK at launch vs what it was changed to
