Ok, so what IS it actually? I have seen conspiracy theories, but I havn't seen proof. Regardless, people keep ignoring this: I am not saying CoD's specific implementation is good. I just don't think a system where there is no team balance at all is good, which to me seems like what the anti-SBMM people want.

I think the issues some people have with SSMM are like this....Sometimes, you dont want to be playing against a team of people with the same skill as you...sometimes, you want to play against a team of people with the same skill level as your 7 year old brother.

People dont want to have to always play their best to be able to win/have fun...sometimes you just want to shoot at shit and enjoy yourself.

Constantly being forced to play YOUR "A game" due to SBMM becomes not fun.

the biggest problem with COD's system is that its not creating equal lobbies of equal skill. its a big mess of "engagement optimization." And bad pings also get mixed in without concern. older games used to be more ping based

Tbh they should make it like cod mobile for cold war or any other future cod, there is a seperated game mode for sbmm which is rank so people can just grind rank/leaderboard, and there is casual which there are way lesser sweats (last time i played)
