What people don't realize is that casual people like cod better than battlefield, battlefield is larger, harder, and has a higher skill gap. For someone who just plays games casually, cod is easier, especially with the aim assist. Looks at bf4, people love bf4 even though its basically bf3 with new maps. That's why the cod battlefield comparison isn't justified because they are two different game franchises.

I don't think 2042 will be in any way like CP 2077. They can't afford it to be, and TBH... After seeing what happened to a studio that was revered as godlike before (CDPR), a studio like DICE might not survive a hit like that

I heard they worked around that tho? They essentially made the vehicles within their own separate engines under the frostbite engine so they move and act smoother than in BF V
