Lets say testing finds a rare but significant previously undiscovered bug that could cause all soldier progress to become corrupt = ruining all your progress. Lets say fixing this requires a rewrite of a part of the code which then need to be tested, Q&A'd etc. etc. This can easily add a month and make a big difference.
