and yeha i agree. aaa devs don't really innovate that much anymore, cause they got shareholders above their head, projected sales targets to reach. and you reach them with consistency and what works. it's why indie development always does the more crazy stuff, while aaa games are much more uhh conservative in terms of gameplay and scope.
