So the main differences you mentioned were the ui and hud bugs, which I have not experienced and the ui is simple and clean, is it as good as bf1, no, but that doesn't make it a bad battlefield game. You complain about a campaign, but 2042 doesn't have one. Also the ai are never used unless in campaign. Destruction is fine and could be refined, graphics are amazing even on low settings, I get revived more in this game than bf1 so I call that a pro. The maps are large and vast and the vehicles are punchy and cool to use but infantry still has a chance, so balance isn't that big of an issue. I still can't see why its a bad battlefield game.

2042 isn't out so comparisons to that game are useless, destruction is hardly used in V compared to games like 4, especially when looking at certain props and objects, graphics are good, but a step down from 1, Getting revived more doesn't solve the issue of firefights feeling goofy and unimpactful now, not to mention all the bugs that can happen when you are lying on the ground, the maps are smaller scale and have less objects than most other bf games, they are also designed poorly, the vehicles are weak and encouraged to camp in the back of the map due to attrition and low health, every gun is outmatched by the smg wielding medics except at very close, or very long range.

I used 2042 because saying that the campaign was bad is a bad argument when barely anyone plays the campaign at this point. Destruction being utilized depends on the players, not the game itself. The game has the same or more destructable objects than 4. Battlefield 1 had good graphics but wake island on ultra or even the other maps are amazing, the game looks as good or even better than bf1. The maps are designed pretty well with well placed points and the maps are big (looking at you hamada). The vehicles are weak IF YOU DON'T UPGRADE THEM, which rewards you with sticking with your favorite vehicle, you can easily shred the enemy team with a good pilot or a tanker with a support buddy. Many assault weapons outclass smgs, especially at medium-long range because of the scale of the maps. Also, I don't die as much to medics and if I do they use the type-2a which is a good weapon, but can easily be beat by an assault or a support with a shotgun
