Campaign is worth it but if you weigh a campaign which costs a bit of money to make good, something you can't really profit off and is for the enjoyment of the person playing, and a multiplayer mode you can make a ton of money off I think the answer becomes clear which one they chose and why

If they campaigns weren’t hallway shooters with stupid ai on both sides or terribly designed stealth missions where stealth isn’t even needed then it would ok. For a good battlefield campaign it needs smart ai, large open battlefields and gameplay that makes you co ordinate a squad of ai and pilot a couple of vehicles.

It's not short just because we play older battlefields, it's short because 2 years with a battle pass service in a game is short.
