I don't think bringing back old maps is a bad thing as long as its not the only thing the developers are doing. Like everything in life we need a good balance. However in this particular case I do believe its a bit different. We are bringing maps that we haven't really played in quite some time, yet with a few tweak to fit the new genre and engine. Bringing back the old maps / gamemode will remind us of the time where we first played on that map back in when the games released. As mentioned before its a touch of nostalgia.
