I'd rather have consistent stats with the only changes come from attachments on them. A 230 grain .45 acp hasn't changed much since WWII except some differences in powder quality. Definitely not going to matter as far as the pistol itself. Only thing that really changes is when you buy a really high end pistol these days but that's equivalent to swapping the barrel and getting tighter tolerances.
