Squad size has to be adjusted after internal testing. Being in a squad is an advantage so to balance the game squads sizes need to have a limit. It doesn't matter what BF4 had or what any other BF game had. It matters what plays best in BF2042 and I don't think we can judge that by looking at a few trailers and a blog post.

@junior spindle the all class weapons in bf4 made the restrictions feel mostly pointless. I cant think of an actual reason for smgs or lmgs to be class limited in that game, nor can I think of a reason to pick carbines for assault. Carbines and DMRs are effectively slightly worse ARs and Snipers anyway.
