Every Battlefield game is just different enough from the ones that came previously that a very verbal group will say they don't like it (and that the Battlefield they like is better) - people and press will interpret that as "heavy criticism".
That's the disadvantage of having a long but varied legacy to live up to.
If BFV had been released today but under a different name and from an unknown developer it would probably be praised by all.
Over time all Battlefield game are remembered by some part of the fanbase as the best Battlefield.
